According to Albert Bates and Kathleen Draper
in the book Burn:using 昀椀re to cool the earth, is the
packaging industry a huge area where biochar paper
can be implemented due to special properties that enhances applications and circular waste management.
Zion Market Research prognosed an increase of the
green packaging industry unitl 2021 to 242 billion US
dollars. ( Bates )
Depending on the ratio of Biochar and paperpulp,
the “chardboard” can have differnt properties, from
holding moisture, capturing gases, keeping product
cool or hot, act as a conductor or antistatic. There are
many applications this material can be used for. This
was my 昀椀rst test of making Biochar paper, but I will
continue re昀椀ning the recipe and technique in connection with the kind of Biochar used for this process.
