“Slow Down Please” by Marlene Huissoud
is an intricate installation that evokes a
sense of organic fluidity and meticulous
craftsmanship. The artwork is composed
of a series of interconnected, hand-crafted structures that resemble natural
forms, such as honeycombs or intricate
nests. Made primarily from natural materials like beeswax and bio-resin, the piece
invites viewers to reflect on the importance of nature and the need to decelerate in our fast-paced world.
I particularly 昀椀nd her approach to material and storytelling through sculpture
important for my practice.
Jaspar Eriksson - Coal: Post-Fuel
Challenge societal perceptions of coal and
highlight the importance of using materials resourcefully. He focused on the historical signi昀椀cance of the material and its aesthetic potential
to be applied in the art and design context.
