Followingtechnical standards set out bySakagami Sensei 8th Dan inWado Ryu Karate.All students have the opportunityto compete at domestic, Nationaland international tournaments. Allstudents whatever their abilityafter a period of 4 to 5 years ofcontinuous training have theopportunity to take their Black Belt1st Dans.Students with special needs suchas Dyslexia, Autism, Aspergers etcare all given the opportunity totrain alongside their peers enjoyingand thriving in their Karate training.Parents can watch all classes at alltimes, we have an open doorpolicy of teaching children.Providing a safe, caring, disciplinedenvironment, where each studentis nurtured to develop the correctattitude and behaviour.All students are required to followthe correct etiquette in the dojo,bowing on entry and leaving,wearing a clean ironed Gi, behavingwith respect and discipline at alltimes.We provide an environment whereall students who apply themselves,practice regularly, listen in theclasses and care about their ownstandard of karate will becomecompetent Karateka. Gaining aBlack Belt 1st Dan is not the end ofthe learning it is the start, wherethe basics and fundamentals havebeen ingrained through repetitionand training.As students progress with theirtraining, building a strong decentcharacter, learning humility,discipline, respect, sacrifice, andbeing diligent in their karatetraining is the aim. Showingrespect to their art, understandingthat karate is a lifelong study notsomething to be mastered in a fewyears of study.
