The Weald 6th Form is unique as it has allowed
me to settle into a new environment and
country. Everyone, teachers and students alike,
have been very welcoming and have assisted me in
many ways to ensure that I achieve what’s best for
me.
The Sixth Form allows class mates to build
relationships with each other as the class sizes are
small in comparison to elsewhere.
We have a lot of resources to help us in anyway we
need and great facilities to help further with studies.
I think The Weald has a great approach towards an
individual’s future and staff assist us in many ways.
Regular meetings and information has helped me in
deciding to apply to university.
When I was choosing the place I would like
to study my A levels, I knew I wanted to find
somewhere with comforting staff, a welcoming
community and most of all a place where I could get
involved.
The Weald is typically much smaller than many big
colleges, which is an advantage. You become much
closer with everyone in your year group which is
great for making new friends and finding people
who do the same subjects as you, spending time
with them and building relationships through study
periods and lessons.
Getting involved and having a say is such a
rewarding and responsible thing and at The Weald,
there is so much opportunity for this. I am a prefect
which means I have a say in so many things such
as big events like open evenings and even our Grad
Dinner! We can get involved with the lower school
through assemblies and fundraisers, which is a huge
privilege.
Becoming a prefect has opened up a confidence
inside of me I never knew I had, and I have gained
responsibility, leadership and organisation skills.

FUTURE PLANS: I plan to go on to university.
