Welcome to
The Weald
Sixth Form
Choosing where to study post-16
is a big decision and it’s really
important to get it right. We all
know that we are only able to
reach our true potential when we
work in an environment where
we feel happy, comfortable and
fulfilled.
The Weald Sixth Form is a really
special place to study because
our ethos is focused around the
belief that every student is unique
and matters as an individual.
We pride ourselves on getting
to know our students well and
finding out what each individual
excels at and what they find more
challenging. In this atmosphere
our students are able to flourish
both in their academic studies
and their wider involvement in the
school community.

As we are a college within a
larger 11-18 school, our Sixth Form
students benefit from being part
of a larger institution in terms of
the wide range of resources we
offer, whilst belonging to a smaller
group within the Sixth Form itself.
Our students make great
academic progress and we are
one of the highest achieving Sixth
Forms in the area. These fantastic
results are achieved because
of the excellent learning and
teaching that takes place across
the Sixth Form and also because
we know our students really well.
Consequently, our students are
able to go on and realise their
ambitions beyond the Sixth Form.
We are proud of the fact that many
of our students progress to study
at the most respected universities
and on the most competitive
courses. Many students also
take up exciting opportunities on
fiercely competitive apprenticeship
programmes.
Of course, Sixth Form is not just
about academic study. We are
here to help everyone develop
personal skills too, such as
independence, resillience and
teamwork, and you will find out
more about how we do this in the
following pages.
