WHY CHOOSE ENGLISH LITERATURE?
WHY CHOOSE ART?
You will have the opportunity to read, discuss
and develop a critical understanding of a
wide variety of extraordinary texts from across
a broad historical range. These texts touch
upon themes and areas of human experience
that are universal and timeless. All lovers of
literature know that what we read provides us
with the thinking tools we need for life. This
rich and varied programme of study allows you
to develop core skills of analysis, evaluation,
independent research and extended writing, as
well as an appreciation of the social, cultural
and historical contexts that influence literature.
This exciting practical course is ideal for
students who want to develop their artistic
and creative skills and to broaden their
knowledge of contemporary art practice.
During the six week induction course, the focus
is on developing a range of expressive skills
and techniques. The following projects allow
students to pursue individual and personal
directions within their work in a wide range
of materials. This course will suit you if you
enjoy exploring the visual world around you,
are willing to be experimental and creative in
thought and practice.
