After studying at The Weald
School throughout my
GCSE’s and receiving incredible
support from everyone, I chose
to stay on at the Sixth Form. I
thoroughly enjoy studying Product
Design, and the department is
wonderful! Due to the smaller
class sizes throughout the Sixth
Form, you will receive one on one
support in your subjects whilst
still having the freedom to explore
career prospects. I opted to study
4 A-Levels rather than an EPQ
and I was grateful that this was
an option at The Weald. The Sixth
Form team are also very helpful
with UCAS applications and future
choices, including Careers Fairs
and visits to universities. The Sixth
Form has always had a strong
connection to the lower school
community and, as part of the
prefect team, I hope to use the
skills learnt in my current subjects
to improve the environmental
sustainability of the whole school.
The thing that stands out for
me about the Weald Sixth
Form is the sense of community
and belonging that you you feel
straight away. The relationship
between staff and students is
strong and makes everybody
here feel a part of something.
There is always support that can
be found very easily as teachers
are very supportive and willing to
help. As a Drama student I also
enjoy the annual show put on by
the drama department, which is a
wonderful way to contribute to the
community, have fun and put on a
fantastic production.
I love how PE has allowed
me to build my confidence
and improve my own skill
set across multiple sports.
Improving my knowledge of
the body has also made me a
stronger competitor in sport and
enabled faster recovery. I love
the collaborative relationship
between students and teachers, it
has been such a positive learning
environment.
Being a prefect is a really good
opportunity to take on extra
responsibilities that will allow
me to help other students and
contribute to the school. The
prefect team is a voice for
students, and as a member of the
well-being team I especially want
to help with the sports provision
for Sixth Form students

“The feeling of
being part of a
unique community
and knowing that
there are always
people to help
and support when
needed is very true
of the Sixth Form.”
FUTURE PLANS: P.E has really broadened
my outlook and understanding of all
professions which support the sport
industry, along with a very transferable
skill set to any service industry.
