“I was attracted to the IB because of the academic
challenge and the broad education it offered. It
also encouraged me to try new subjects like World
Literature and Philosophy that I would not have
had the opportunity to learn otherwise. During
my time at Varndean, I received gold awards
in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge, going on
to compete in the Kangaroo and British Maths
Olympiad challenges. I also competed in Royal
Holloway’s National Psychology Competition,
having the opportunity to collaborate with other
students and learn of the innovative research
being conducted at the university. I have spent
the last two years with the most dynamic and
supportive group of people.”
