In Year One you will study Cyber Security and
Incident Management, as well as Creating Systems
to manage information. In Year Two, you will study
Information Technology Systems and Website
Design, including html, css and javascript.
HISTORY OF ART
A LEVEL
The study of art gives students valuable
knowledge of world civilisations and helps them
develop analytical skills that can be applied
to understand how paintings, sculpture and
architecture work to shape our social identities.
This course allows students to develop particular
interests and students will be encouraged to
research and investigate art through first-hand
experience.
ADVANCED LEVEL COURSES
IT skills are highly valued in all aspects of
business and society and there is a demand
for people who have the skills to refine and
apply new developments to the real world. This
exciting course will enable you to develop your
understanding of the latest technologies and to
become a competent IT user and successful in
the workplace. You will develop your technical
skills in a wide range of industry-standard software
packages.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Standard Advanced Level entry requirements
Plus
Grade 4 in GCSE Maths
Grade 4 in GCSE IT or equivalent (desirable)
ASSESSMENT
60% exam, 40% coursework
In your first year you will study painting, sculpture
and architecture, focusing on two themes:
Identities in art and architecture and war in art and
architecture. In the second year, you will study two
periods: Invention and illusion: the Renaissance in
Italy (1420-1520) and Pop life: British and American
contemporary art and architecture (1960-2015).
