“Varndean College really appealed to me
because of its brand-new STEM Centre
facilities, which meant I would be able to
benefit from new labs and equipment, as
well as the excellent teaching the College
provided. Having these new facilities has
definitely helped me with my learning.
The students at Varndean have been so
kind and friendly, and the staff are really
supportive. Class sizes are good too, which
means you receive a lot of one-to-one
support in your lessons, as well as catch-up
sessions which help make you feel at ease.
Because I want to go on to university to
study Medicine, I also belonged to the Med/
Vet/Dent group which is aimed at giving
extra support to those students wanting
to pursue careers in Medicine, Veterinary
Science or Dentistry. The group provides
support with university applications and
interviews, as well as talks by former
students currently studying or working within
those career fields.
I would most certainly recommend that you
attend the Varndean College open days and
ask as many questions as you can and go
with your gut instinct. I did.”
