INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Varndean College has a thriving International Department and welcomes students from across the world. You
can join us for a one or two-year programme. You study alongside UK students and are fully included in all
activities in the college.

2. Wide range of subjects
‘Having the opportunity to study what I really want
to, with subjects that weren’t available back home. It
has shown me a different way to study and approach
school in general, less stressful. I hope I can keep a
bit of this when I return home.’
3. The location
‘The College grounds are spacious and green and
we love how close to Brighton it is. And it’s easy to
get to London to explore.’
4. Host family accommodation
‘I love my host family, they really made me feel at
home and the food is amazing.’
6. The opportunity to grow as a person
‘I would definitely recommend coming to Varndean
because of the lovely environment and the people. I
have become way more independent and confident,
and learned how to deal with challenges and
unexpected events. I have learned how to make new
friends, organise my studies and become a more
open person.’

Sarah is from South Africa and came to Varndean
College to study A Levels in Biology, Maths and Art
“Varndean College quickly became my first choice
while looking to study abroad. I was intrigued by
the variety of courses and access to incredible
resources. The college has a support system like no
other, where the international team and dedicated
staff have always put students first. Students have
everything they need to thrive while attending
courses here.
My education has benefited from the academic and
personal qualities I have gained from life abroad. I
have forged so many meaningful friendships and
learned so much about different cultures, it’s crazy to
think how much I have changed for the better.
After finishing my courses at this college, my
world has been opened up many
