Farrier Forge
We are delighted to announce the o昀케cial opening of
our Farrier Forge at Karlswood, led by our long-term
farrier Larry Winters and his assistant Isabel Harmer.
Our top-class farrier services allow for an
experienced, precise and catered shoeing for both
our in-house and external horses.
The designated area provides a peaceful environment
for all the horses to be given time and attention
during their shoeing.
Larry is highly pro昀椀cient in traditional methods and
all aspects of modern farriery. At Karlswood horses
are shod using gait analysis and, when necessary,
with the aid of radiographs to provide the precise
level of care needed. This bespoke shoeing approach,
tailored to each individual horse, helps them on their
road to victory while maintaining soundness.
A private cabana located next to our farrier forge at
Karlswood enables guests to relax in a comfortable
space while their horses are being shod.
