Nichols’ Folly
Dive into the dramatic story of the nation’s 昀椀rst planned shopping center in Nichols’ Folly: A
Century of the Country Club Plaza. When developer J.C. Nichols revealed plans for the Plaza in
1923, skeptics labeled it “Nichols’ Folly.” One hundred years later, the alternative downtown
experience remains a luxurious shopping center, but its future is uncertain.
Healing Hate
Healing Hate unveils the journey of Mindy Corporon and Sunayana Dumala, two strangers who
forged a profound connection after tragic hate crimes in 2014 and 2017, respectively, killed
Corporon’s father and son and Dumala’s husband. Finding strength in their shared grief, they
established their respective organizations, SevenDays and Forever Welcome.
AIDS in KC: Getting to Zero
This chapter of AIDS in KC showcases individuals currently navigating the complexities of living
with HIV/AIDS. This episode follows up with local organizers aiming for a future of zero new
infections, zero AIDS-related deaths and zero discrimination, even as infection rates in some
communities continue to rise and the price of treatment remains out of reach for many.

dilemma for a reason, and the already emotionally-charged decision has just become a lot
