An impressive stone pillared entrance with ornate wroughtiron electric double gates opens into a long and sweeping
gravel driveway, travelling through the large front lawns,
interspersed with mature blossom and specimen trees. The
house is screened from the lane by high hedging. The drive
leads to a circular parking and turning area to the front of the
house and to the rear of the barn. The gardens are extensive
and a real feature of the house, with much thought going into
creating many areas of interest.
The gardens wrap around the entire house, with side and
rear gardens being south- and west-facing, capturing the
sunlight for the majority of the day and evening. A wide stone
terrace/alfresco dining area abuts the side and rear of the
house, accessed via French doors from the family room and
a door from the side entrance hall. This terrace overlooks the
manicured lawns with small carp-filled lake, stone waterfall
and herbaceous borders surrounding, all overlooked from a
timber pontoon. The gardens sweep round to a netted allweather tennis court, concealed from view by beech hedging.
This area is overlooked by a stone terrace with attractive
summer house.
A lovely cobble sett courtyard is formed by the barn, stable
block and garage block. Lying to the rear of the stable block
is a well-maintained, smart area of concrete and gravel
hardstanding providing a secondary lorry/car access and
parking area. The main entrance to this beautiful range of
buildings is off the main circular driveway, leading through
an archway that dissects the stables from the tack room, with
games room/office above.
Adjoining the gardens are six post and rail paddocks, all in
excellent condition, with water to all.
