Gidlow Hall - Flipbook - Page 4
DESCRIPTION
This exceptional Grade II-listed, five-bedroom Hall
has origins in the late 16th-century, and over time
has evolved into a beautifully renovated house
with a long and rich history. The house is textbook
Tudor from the outside, all honeyed stone and
mullion windows. There is even a moat. Thanks to
the building’s heritage listing, the original character
remains intact, with modern interventions seamlessly
integrated with a plentiful use of oak. The finished
effect feels authentic with a lovely quality of space
and light.
The front door leads directly into an oak-panelled
dining room with coved ceiling and log burning stove
set into a stone surround. A series of rooms lead
from this, culminating at a large side extension that
comprises a generous open-plan kitchen and living
room. The kitchen is bespoke, hand-crafted in oak
with granite worksurfaces and a large island. Double
doors lead to a garden room, which has a stone floor
and glazed roof. Upstairs, the house features a dual
aspect principal bedroom with barrel-vaulted ceiling,
French doors that open to a terrace, a bespoke-fitted
dressing room and en suite. There are four further
generously proportioned bedrooms served by a
family bathroom with separate shower and bath.
