SOLVENTS
ACETONE is the standard of the industry
for cleaning tools and brushes while
working in polyester, vinyl ester, and
epoxy resins. It is the recommended
solvent for removing greases and waxes
from surfaces which are to be bonded,
repaired or primed. It will not remove
resin from tools, brushes, etc. after the
resin has set. It is not recommended for
thinning resins or gel coats as this can
lead to added pinholes and premature
yellowing.
XYLENE is a high-strength cleaning
solvent which is commonly used
thinning most quick drying paints and
as it is well known for its ability to cut
through polyurethane, oil-based paints,
epoxy, varnish and adhesives resins
effectively. Xylene cleans forced action
mixers and tools such as trowels quickly
and effortlessly.

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL is the solvent of
choice for the 昀椀nal preparation, cleaning
and degreasing of all substrates prior to
adhesive bonding. In addition, it is useful
for the cleaning up of many uncured
adhesives, sealants and resins.
