pigmented
in-house, in bright whites and yellows
for anti-slip qualities on stair treads and
nosings. A very clean mineral based on
bauxite. Bauxite has a low Mohs hardness
of 1.5-3.0, a dull, earthy luster, and low
speci昀椀c gravity of 2.0-2.5. Bauxite forms
in moist tropical or subtropical climates
when the aluminum-silicate minerals in
clayey soils are leached and converted
to basic oxides.
THIXOTROPIC AGENT is a highly ef昀椀cient
thickening agent for liquids and pastes
and used in the following systems:
adhesives, putties, sealants, coating
compounds, dispersions and corrosion
protection systems. These systems
can be based on epoxy, polyester,
polyurethane.

paints used for road line markings and
anti-slip properties to 昀氀ooring systems
for barefoot traf昀椀c in bathrooms and
wet rooms. The spheres can be used as
a 昀氀ow aid in resins, and as a processing
aid in thermoplastics and thermosets.
Their spherical shape helps reduce
viscosity and aid material 昀氀ow, with
improved stress distribution and less
shrinkage in mouldings.
