Station Theatre, Hayling Island
By David Ellis, Chair of HIADS
Station Theatre
HAVE you ever thought about being
part of an amateur theatre?
Even if you haven’t, are you looking for
a group to join that offers a huge variety
of things to get involved with? A place
where you can make new friends and
enjoy social events.
Whether you want to act, get involved
backstage, help with props, costumes, set
building or join our front of house team,
the Station Theatre in West Town has
something for everyone irrespective of
age or abilities.
You don’t have to be a ‘luvvie’ or be able
to quote Shakespeare at the drop of a hat;
most of us are relatively normal and just
love being part of something fun, creative
and very, very sociable…yes, we have a
licensed bar!
If you’d like to dip your toe in the water,
the theatre is open every Saturday from
10am-midday where you can meet cur-
rent members, discuss what you might
like to be involved with and get a tour of
the theatre.
Alternatively you can email me at
chair@stationtheatre.co.uk
There’s always something to do and we
always appreciate new members. Come
along and see if you think you’d enjoy
being part of things here. You can get
involved as little or as much as you want.
Looking ahead, February brings Disney’s Frozen Jr. performed by CCADS
Youth Theatre (February 1st-2nd), followed by tribute acts Big Love UK celebrating Fleetwood Mac (February 28th)
and The Wall of Floyd (30th-31st May).
March sees HIADS return with the
gripping thriller Dangerous Obsession
(March 22nd-29th).
Tickets for all shows can be booked at
stationtheatre.com. Or you can drop in to
the theatre or call our box office on 02392
466363, any Saturday morning between
10am and midday.
