China: Many People, Differing Channels
High Frequency Stores
Reflect China’s
Diverse Economies
Meet your consumer’s value expectations.
The local market is one of the most intriguing channels in
China. “High frequency” stores sell a wide array of products, similar to what we would find in a Wal-Mart. But
these high frequency stores are often just small stalls,
measuring only 20 x 30 feet. Typically, they offer only one
type of product. Yet these stores are where most of China’s
more than one billion consumers buy their everyday goods.
Product sizes are often small, such as single-use sachets
for personal goods. Because space is at such a premium,
fresh food is purchased daily from local producers. These
high frequency stores are typically family-owned and
operated, and most often stock whatever products they
can get their hands on.
Are you delivering true
value to your everyday
consumer?
