PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
Milwaukee Bucks & Milwaukee Bucks Foundation
It is with great pride that the Harry & Rose
Samson Family JCC awards the Milwaukee
Bucks and the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation
with the 2024 Yachad Award for Community
Partnership. Like the JCC, the Bucks
organization is a franchise that is rooted
in values, rooted in families, and rooted in
community.
In late 2023, the JCC was honored to be named
a recipient agency of the Milwaukee Bucks
Foundation’s newly reimagined fundraising
gala, The Sixth Man Soiree, alongside our
partners at Feeding America. The evening
was a spectacular experience for attendees,
but more importantly, it expressed the
Bucks organization’s continued commitment
to improving outcomes for underserved
populations in Wisconsin. The proceeds
from the event will make a direct impact on
individuals and families in Milwaukee who
are served by the Jewish Community Pantry.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been longtime
supporters of the JCC through annual
sponsorships of KidShare and investments
in the Jewish Community Pantry. They have
also promoted a corporate partnership that
enables Bucks employees to participate
in all that our vibrant community center
has to o昀昀er – including welcoming a
number of player families to our early
childhood program. The strong roots that
we have established together allowed our
partnership to expand this year to bene昀椀t
the community we collectively serve.
The Bucks’ commitment to family was at
the center of another special evening in
Winter 2024 when the JCC was honored
to be called upon to host the launch
of Barbara Feigin’s book, My American
Dream: A Journey from Fascism to Freedom.
Her son, Milwaukee Bucks President Peter
Feigin, interviewed his mother about her life
story on stage and gave our community a
glimpse into their playful family dynamic.
The board and sta昀昀 of the Harry & Rose
Samson Family JCC extend our gratitude to
the Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee
Bucks Foundation for partnering with us to
build a healthier Milwaukee. We look forward
to seeing this strong partnership continue to
grow and 昀氀ourish in the years ahead.
