community. Jewish Life is designed to build meaningful
memories as we play and learn in fun and creative ways.

IN J CAMPS
J Camps Rituals and Traditions
Each day begins with singing the Hatikvah (Israeli National
Anthem) at our Flagpole morning gathering. We give thanks
before and after meals by raising our voices in Hamotzi and Birkat blessings.
Shabbat Celebration
On Fridays, we follow the tradition of coming together as a camp community
and celebrating Shabbat. We dance, cheer, and eat yummy treats. This is a
special time to pause and show gratitude together.
Jewish Values
All of our camp activities are designed to be infused with Jewish values and
each week we will dive deeper into a speci昀椀c value through hands-on
experiences, music, games, and activities.
Mensch Moments
Throughout the week our counselors are on the look out catching our
campers in 'mensch moments'. These are times when they may speci昀椀cally
portray our value of the week, doing a good deed, or being a mensch
(a person of integrity and honor)!
Israeli Culture
Campers are introduced to Israel through culture and informal educational
experiences that engage all 5 senses. We learn about Israeli Culture from our
visiting Israeli Shlichim counselors and specialists.
