researchers: Cindy Morley and
Baker Owens. And since I’ve been
a journalist for most of my career, along with management and
editing duties I continue to enjoy
interviewing Georgians from
all fields of endeavor for
publication.
Over the past decade we have boosted
our features that
range from a “Sippin’
Local” readers’ poll
ranking Georgia’s major breweries, wineries
and distilleries to upgrading our longtime listing of
Georgia’s top lobbyists and governmental affairs firms.
We also instituted a “CEO
Spotlight” to shine on a prominent Georgia businessperson.
It appears in every magazine,
along with our popular “Floating
Boats” section informing readers
who or what is “rising, sinking
or drifting” in our state’s world
of business and politics. And we
pride ourselves in publishing in
the print and digital publications
a wide array of contributing guest
writers who have expertise on a
particular subject.
In 2023 our sister company
did a major rebranding. The daily
online InsiderAdvantage Georgia
news agency took a new name:
James Magazine Online. Except
for the name change, the content
and access for our subscribers
remained the same including our
motto: “Information before it’s
news,” a brief daily look at politics, business and news from
across our state. When it
comes to public policy
issues, we welcome
and solicit op-eds
from Republicans,
Democrats and
pretty much any
Georgian who can
effectively articulate
and advocate an issue
regardless of their politics.
Our opportunities for
print and online advertising
have expanded in recent years.
Be assured, our advertising team
will recommend the best options
for all advertising and marketing
needs— both online and in the
print magazine— to reach our most
influential statewide readership.
Believe me when I tell you
that we’ve come a long way from
building on what Matt and his
team accomplished during the
company’s first 10 years. We’re
proud that readers can depend
upon James for eye-pleasing
design, relevant information and
keen analysis. It is our mission to
continue our journalism work in
the future.
I join Matt in extending our
sincere thanks to our loyal statewide readership.
