2024 has been a year marked by incredible success and great challenges for the state of Georgia. Thanks to
the leadership of Gov. Brian Kemp
and the policies championed by the
Georgia House of Representatives,
we have witnessed another historic
year of economic growth, investment, and job creation, and are well
on our way to securing continued
record success for decades to come.
The House has passed legislation
to expand access to healthcare in
our most underserved communities,
bolster public safety, support our
law enforcement officers, increase
educational opportunities for Georgia
families, implement historic tax cuts
and keep millions of dollars in the
pockets of hardworking Georgians.
We’re proud of our success
across the state, but we know that
with great opportunities come great
challenges. The House will continue
our work to address the challenges our state faces and ensure that
Georgia remains the best place to
live, work and raise a family.
For an eleventh consecutive
year, Georgia has earned the designation of the “Number One Place
for Business.” This achievement
is no coincidence. For years, our
conservative leaders have consistently championed sound fiscal
and economic policy, invested in
our critical infrastructure across
the state and reduced burdensome
regulations to create a thriving
business environment.
As Georgia continues to grow
and businesses expand in every
corner of the state, it’s critical that
we continue to make strategic investments and policy decisions that
will keep our economy thriving for
the next generation. This includes
ensuring we have a workforce that
is prepared to meet the demands of
job creators moving to our state.
We will continue our work to
invest in education, bolster early literacy rates and provide our
future workforce with the opportunities they need to be successful.
The House will also seek to remove
barriers to entry for many of our
highest-demand careers by streamlining and simplifying our professional licensing process.
Paramount to our continued
economic growth and increased
quality of life for every Georgian
is expanding access to quality,
affordable healthcare. During the
2024 Legislative Session, the Georgia
House passed measures to adjust
Certificate of Need requirements,
strengthen our healthcare
