range of support to our clients and to
our investors.
From the Certificate of Need
(CON) process to HIPAA requirements, SGPS has worked in conjunction with healthcare systems and
practice groups to deliver high-quality spaces that maintain functional
integrity in a schedule conscious
fashion.
you worked on the staff of a U.S.
senator in Washington, D.C. Can you
expound on that experience?
PAUL SHAILENDRA I serve as the founder
and CEO of SG Property Services
and have worked in this role since its
creation in 2011.
My belief regarding work preparation is that it starts with exposure.
My mother always prioritized exposing my brother and I to things—
especially experiences, people or
points of view. My father exposed us
to and taught us about real estate—
thus creating my initial connection
to this industry.
One of the primary reasons I was
drawn to commercial real estate is
that it is tangible. I like being able
to see, touch and tour properties. Of
course, along the way, I was fortunate enough to have mentors in my
life that helped educate me, guide
me and ultimately advise me. The
combination of the foundation from
my parents and the support of those
around me over the years has prepared me to lead SGPS.
PS After “getting out” of Georgia
Tech, I was afforded the unique
opportunity to work an entry level
job as a staff assistant for a U.S. senator. It remains one of the highlights
of my life, primarily because I met
my wife, Amanda Bell Shailendra.
We both continue to benefit from
the relationships and experiences
gained from our time in Washington. My time in DC was illuminating and confidence inspiring. The
friendships I made crossed party
affiliations and geography, which is
something I continue to prioritize.
CM You have been actively engaged

family business, and what are the
other aspects of the business?

anchored by One2One Health and includes tenants speciailizing
in orthopedics, primary care and physical therapy.
