and fiscal impact study that highlighted the importance of our community
to the broader region,” she continued.
“And we have seven percent of Gwinnett County’s jobs and an arena that
was ranked by Billboard as one of the
Top 25 venues in the world.”
The current Gwinnett County
SPLOST program includes over $17
million for projects in the Sugarloaf
CID. Funding has been allocated for
trails and sidewalks, intersections and
a major road project. The new Gwinnett County Transit Development
Plan includes Rapid Ride (Bus Rapid
Transit) connecting Sugarloaf CID to
Doraville and Lawrenceville. They
also recently completed a feasibility
study for an off-road trail will connect
the Gas South District to Primerica
and multifamily developments.
Boulevard CID
On the more southern end of our
CID roundup is this Fulton County
District. It’s in a unique position as

outside of a city but in a critical industrial area. With more than 52 million
square feet of industrial space, 28,000
jobs and $2.4 billion in payroll, the
district is a critical part of the metro
supply chain located adjacent to I-20,
I-285, Hartsfield-Jackson International
Airport, downtown Atlanta and railroad facilities.
The CID is overseeing a comprehensive landscaping and beautifica-
tion program that maintains 12 miles
of roads and a multifaceted public
safety program that includes extensive partnerships with local agencies
and deployment of technology to help
fight crime.

around energy and demand increasing for alternative energy fleets,

on ways to implement clean-energy
