New Programs Encourage Success
TCSG has been working with Gov.
Brian Kemp and other state leaders
to implement the Georgia Match
and Dual Achieve Program. Georgia
Match is a first-of-its kind program
that ensures that every Georgia high

cating post-secondary schools across
the state that they have been “pre-approved” to attend.
“This takes away a lot of fear for
students when they are applying for
college,” said Dozier. “This program literally connects students with colleges
and helps them navigate their journey.”
In the first year of the program,
TCSG had over 7,000 students ask for
information, and over 5,000 “claimed a
spot at one of the campuses. Of those,
1,500 have submitted full applications.
Dual Achieve is a pilot program
that allows TCSG to create five pilot
high schools on TCSG campus. “These
are designed to address students who
might drop out of their traditional high
school and transfer to one of these
campuses to finish their high school
education,” said Dozier.

within the state of Georgia. Appointed
as TSCG Commissioner in January
2020 by Kemp, Dozier manages the
system’s 22 technical colleges, over
12,000 employees, and a substantial
annual budget exceeding $1.1 billion.
