out of the Airport and Pooler.
9. Gulfstream SAV continues to
opened a new $4 million, 22,500 sq.
ft. office/hangar facility as phase one
of its multimillion-dollar expansion
program here. Sheltair recently opened
a new $5.2 million, 60,000 sq. ft. hangar
and is underway with a $8 million,
296,000 sq. ft. apron expansion. Both
FBO operators see growth continuing
at SAV and are investing accordingly.
6. Flight School Operations Savannah
Aviation is rapidly expanding their
fleet to meet the growing demand for
flight training. They are also planning
on expanding their footprint here at
SAV by building a new 20,000 sq. ft.
office/hangar facility soon.

7. Military The 165th Airlift Wing
of the Georgia Air National Guard
has begun its transition from the
C-130H model to the C-130J model.
Many elected officials in the State of
Georgia have helped secure this very
important transition.
8. Interchange The process for upgrading the Exit 104 interchange on I-95 has
begun. The traffic study is complete,
and the IMR/Scoping Study is well
underway. GDOT, Chatham County,
the Cities of Savannah and Pooler,
Gulfstream, and the Savannah Airport
Commission, as well as members of the
Georgia Legislature, are fully behind
partner with Gulfstream to ensure
they have the ability to expand here
at our Airport. The opening of a new
367,000 sq. ft. Service Center in July
is evidence of that this partnership
continues to produce positive results
for our region.
