As an external student, Cromwell sixth form stood out to me for having
a high standard of teaching in a smaller-scale secondary school
environment. Although the transition from GCSE to A level studies was
difficult at first, the teachers have all been really accommodating,
getting to know the members of staff made me feel more comfortable,
in what started out as an unfamiliar environment for me.
Aer completing secondary school and GCSES at Cromwell, the only
sixth form application I made was for Cromwell Community College.
I have especially enjoyed sixth form because it feels like a second home,
with our own separate areas away from the rest of the school.
For my A levels I chose law, history and psychology because I wish to
pursue a career in law. My teachers are all very friendly and happy to
discuss content and strategies for success, and I love the community feel
that Cromwell’s sixth form has. Working in the Cromwell Primary School
for my enrichment, is just so rewarding, especially the enthusiasm of the
young pupils.
Additionally, the sixth form staff are friendly, and Mrs Paul and
Mrs Fisher are extremely helpful for sorting out any social issues or
just to have a catch-up on how you are getting on in your studies.
I am studying A levels in history, psychology and French
along with an AS level in core maths, and I have been
really well-supported by my teachers. Going into
year 13, I have felt that if I have any issues with
understanding, I can always ask my teachers for help
and advice. Being able to do private study in my free
periods helps me to make the most out of my time
at here. Despite being a lot of hard work, sixth form
at Cromwell has really motivated me to put
everything into my studies to get the best possible
results for university next year.
Another reason that Cromwell was always
my first choice is because of the constant
support from staff. The sixth form staff have
helped and supported me constantly from
beginning the process of my ADHD diagnosis
to now. My extra time for exams, which I
received recently is also thanks to the
awareness of the staff and their desire
to treat us all as individuals.

Aer studying at Neale-Wade for secondary school, I knew I wanted to
carry on my education at sixth form. The transition was very easy, and
the familiar sites of the school made it comfortable for me to settle in.
I was able to start my choice of subjects straight away with teachers
that I was already familiar with. The calm environment that is within
the sixth form area has helped me in completing my independent
study and broaden my learning.
As well as this, the sixth form staff of
Mrs Paul, Mrs Gribble and Mrs Ayres
are all friendly and are there for you if
you have a problem or if you want
to ask a question.
I am studying Information Technology
Level 3 and BTEC business Level 3.
The teachers I have had over the two
years have been helpful and very
supportive.
