MOTOR INSURANCECOMPLAINTS ON THE RISEAccording to newly published FinancialOmbudsman Service (FOS) datathe number of 昀椀nancial complaintsreceived in the second half of 2023rose by a 昀椀fth. The FOS saw anincrease in general insurance cases– with car or motorcycle insurancecomplaints rising the sharpest – partlydue to continued delays during theclaims process as well as insurers’valuations of a vehicle, it said.This view is backed up by DataLabs’analysis of Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) 昀椀gures which show motorremains the most complained aboutproduct line with more than 2.5 millioncomplaints over the last 昀椀ve years.
