Vetting Inspections - “Live Stream” Video Representation
Working with all types of vessels you will know about the highly challenging and rigorous ship
tests, also known as Vetting Inspections. These inspections are normally conducted by a
visiting, shore based inspector who will represent the Flag, Port or Charter interests.
Due to Covid travel restrictions, vetting inspectors have been restricted from overseas travel.
Vessels are required to remain compliant and therefore, vetting inspections can now be
conducted with latest technology VIDEO representation of vessels Tanker Risk Assessment
procedure - providing vetting inspectors a digital video overview direct from vessel operations
for vetting inspectors to report on vessels or operational deficiencies, to detail both positive
and negative comments on the vessel’s operation. They then make reports with the found
deficiencies (rating them from High to Low risks) and give it to the vessel master at the end of
every inspection.
