On April 19th, IAS participated in the 4th Congress of Indian Laboratories, organized by AOIL (Association of Indian Laboratories),
with a theme: “SYNERGY AMONG LABORATORIES, ACCREDITATION
BODIES AND REGULATORS, INVOLVED IN PROVIDING QUALITY
INFRASTRUCTURE”. Mr. Dimitrios Katsieris, Senior Global Manager
for Testing Laboratories and Food Accreditation Programs, made a
presentation of the Conformity Assessment Structure, the Importance of Accreditation and the synergies that are necessary between
Accreditation Bodies and Regulators in order to meet the end user
needs for a safer and better world as a Guest of Honor.
The event was attended by representatives from several government
and private laboratories in India, Accreditation Bodies and Regulators.
The Association of Indian Laboratories (AOIL) is a registered, nonprofit making body that aims to serve as a common platform for all
four disciplines of lab services across India; Testing, Calibration,
GLP, and Medical.
IAS supports such initiatives around the world and contributes to the
world conformity assessment structure by promoting the accreditation concept, cooperation between peers and knowledge sharing.
