Magical Uses
Leaf and Acorn divination:
We know that the druids used to chew on acorns as a form of divination, though this
isn’t recommended as the tannins from the shell would give you a stomach ache!
Instead, you might want to dry and burn acorn leaves on a hot coal with some
frankinsence, to divine hidden messages from the smoke.
Mistletoe fertility magic:
Pliny, who lived in Gaul during the 1st century CE, writes that the Druids gathered
mistletoe from the oak trees with a golden sickle for fertility rites. The oak
represented the fertile height of the summer and the mistletoe possibly represented
the white of semen. If you’d like to birth something into being, (be it a baby or a
creative project into the world), it can be potent to combine both energies together,
burying an acorn and the berries with a something you’d like to birth into the word (be
it a baby or a creative project) written on an oak leaf.
Acorn necklace :
Acorns were believed to be useful tools to manifest things into being and bring good
luck. Write something you’d like to attract on an acorn and wear it around your neck.
