SHORT STORY
Awakening
The morning mist carpeted the land. Above it, the sun was stirring,
promising a beautiful day. Spring was returning to the land.
Bird song welcomed the day and deep in the woods, close to a
crystal clear pool, the unicorn emerged. This was true spring, only
the unicorns knew when the seasons had finally settled in. She
stretched up to her full height and shook her mane in magnificent
splendour.
Everyone on the planet would feel the effect of her awakening.
This would be the day people would begin to relax, smile and
venture out into the world again to feel the sun on their faces and
reconnect with their friends, or make some new ones. Love would be
in the air and smiles on faces everywhere.
Meanwhile, the unicorn wandered gently through the woods. There
was magic to weave and mischief to be made. She wished for the
planet to feel her power again and spread love and peace. It was
time to heal the harshness of the past season. She lowered her
golden horn to the ground, the earth shimmered with her power and
Spring began.
