On January 9, 2024, HTC held its annual gala at Ateres Ayala in Skokie. This
year our Yeshiva honored Rabbi Chaim Twerski with the Lifetime Harbatzas
HaTorah Award.
A truly gifted and dedicated Rebbe of Beis HaMidrash LaTorah for over forty
years, Rabbi Twerski served as a rebbe in Fasman Yeshiva High School and in
later years as a rebbe of the Semicha Shiur. He also instructed various classes
of older students in hashkafa and ethics. Rabbi Twerski has also served as Rav
of Bais Chaim Dovid in Lincolnwood since 1992. He is the shul’s daf yomi
maggid shiur, provides counseling and answers many halachic sha’alos and is
very involved in numerous community endeavors. He and his wife Golda shep
much nachas from their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It
was the Yeshiva’s great honor and privilege to express its deepest appreciation
to Rabbi Twerski for his years of harbatzas haTorah.

Tuesday,
December
19th,
alumni in the New Jersey area
gathered at the home of Dr. Yosi
and Lisa Fishkin to welcome our
new Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Moshe
Revah, and wished a tzeischem
l’shalom to Rabbi Chaim Twerski,
who will be making Aliyah after 40
years
of
teaching
at
HTC.
Participants enjoyed their evening
reminiscing over a beautiful fleishig
buffet and heard updates about the
excitement happening at HTC.
Rabbi Josh Zisook, Director of
Alumni
Affairs,
opened
the
program, followed by Divrei Torah
from the Rosh HaYeshiva and then
Divrei Bracha by Rabbi Twerski.

for opening their home to our
Yeshiva!
