FYHS TALMIDIM DELIVER
CHABURAS TO CLASSMATES
ROSH HAYESHIVA, RABBI MOSHE REVAH,
USHERS IN NEW ZMAN OF GROWTH
Fasman Yeshiva takes great pride in our successful
year of chaburas! Throughout the year each talmid
had several opportunities to deliver a chabura to his
class. With the help of our dedicated Rebbe, Rabbi
Haskell, each talmid delved into the depths of a sugya
to develop, shape, and bring out his own points,
sharpening his skills in learning be'iyun. Finally, each
student delivered a chabura to his class that explained
his analysis of the sugya. By learning and then sharing
his learning, each talmid had the opportunity to
advance his own Gemara and public speaking skills!
FYHS WINS FIRST PLACE IN
KOHACK 2024
COMPETITION!
If you walk into HTC’s beis midrash on any given morning you
will find nearly 75 students from our Kollel, Beis Midrash
program and high school learning together in a packed beis
midrash. This is a tremendous credit to the efforts of our new
Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Moshe Revah, shlit”a.
Back in October of last year, HTC formally welcomed and
installed Rabbi Revah as our Rosh HaYeshiva and celebrated at a
Hachtara on October 30th, 2023. Hundreds gathered in the Beis
Midrash to welcome Rabbi Revah and wish him mazel, bracha,
and hatzlacha in his new role. We wish our Rosh HaYeshiva
trememdous continued hatzlacha as he brings tremendous
growth to our Yeshiva.
SHABBOS OF INSPIRATION WITH
MOSHE STORCH
FYHS is extremely proud of our team of four brilliant
students - Yosef Kostousov, Shmuel Kostousov, Eitan
Goizman, and Aharon Levitt – who won first place at
the third annual KoHack event, North America's
premier Yeshiva High School Coding Hackathon,
hosted by Kohelet Yeshiva.
Returning for their second year, our team showcased
incredible skill and creativity in this unique computer
"hacking" competition. Tasked with developing an
innovative solution to combat the global rise of
antisemitism, they conceptualized an app designed to
empower Jewish communities worldwide. Over two
intensive days, they engaged in brainstorming,
coding, designing wireframes, and delivering
compelling presentations, all while competing against
nearly 10 teams from six schools.
Chaperoned by beis midrash student, Shua Spak, our
team's success at KoHack 2024 is a testament to their
dedication, talent, and the skills fostered at FYHS. We
are incredibly proud of this huge achievement.
Congratulations to our champions on their welldeserved win!

In mid October, FYHS hosted an inspiring schoolwide
Shabbaton. Friday night was kicked off with an uplifting Kabalas
Shabbos, complete with dancing and singing, led by acclaimed
singer and songwriter, Moshe Storch. The boys heard divrei
Torah and chizuk from Rosh HaYeshiva Rabbi Moshe Revah,
who put the Shabbaton in context amidst the war in Israel,
explaining how we have the responsibility to dance and be
b’simcha on behalf of those who are unable to. The boys
participated in an oneg with Rabbi Aryeh Cohen, 12th grade
Rebbe and Mashgiach of DRS High School. Shabbos day, the
FYHS students were privileged to a special Mussaf led by Moshe
Storch, preceded by a drasha from Rabbi Cohen. The boys had a
shalosh seudos filled with singing and divrei chizuk. After
Shabbos, the boys joined Moshe Storch for a special Melava
Malka. After starting off the night with a powerful group Tehillim
for our chayalim, the boys joined together in singing and
dancing, a powerful way to end Shabbos.
