Two Wheels for Life
The official charity of motorcycle
racing, Two Wheels for Life has
dedicated over three decades to
supporting programmes that ensure
life-saving healthcare reaches people
in the poorest and most remote parts
of Africa. According to the World
Bank, 63% of the African population
live in hard-to-reach rural areas.
Together with sister organisation Riders
for Health (Riders), the organisations
provide innovative transport solutions
to make sure healthcare, education
and medical supplies reach vulnerable
communities in The Gambia, Nigeria,
Malawi and Lesotho. To date, the
programmes they support have
helped 47 million people across
Sub-Saharan Africa gain increased
access to vital health services. HL
BaSE advised the organisation on
issues surrounding its constitution
to reflect the development of its work
and the future of the organisation.
Hogan Lovells’ pro bono support for
Riders for Health’s operational work
in Africa, and for its UK partner Two
Wheels for Life, has been extremely
valuable and effective. Their charity
team’s responses have been carefully
considered, clear and easy for a layperson to follow. Their expertise
and guidance has enabled each
organisation to grow with confidence.”
