Bright Tide - Blue
Carbon workshop
HL BaSE hosted a pro bono workshop
as part of our partnership with UK
social enterprise Bright Tide which
works with businesses to help them
make climate change and biodiversity
a strategic priority through the
provision of guidance and advisory
support on organisations’ sustainability
and social impact strategies and
connecting businesses to investmentready solutions in the climate and
biodiversity markets. One of this year’s
HL BaSE Catalyst workshops focused
on ocean ventures being supported
by Bright Tide that are actively
working on blue carbon solutions.
The workshop provided a platform
for social enterprises engaged in blue
carbon initiatives to gain a deeper
understanding of the legal landscape
that surrounds their innovative work.
Blue carbon ventures play a crucial
role in addressing environmental
challenges, particularly in mitigating
climate change and enhancing marine
ecosystems, especially given 83% of the
global carbon cycle circulates through
