The Danish Startup Ecosystem Guide 2024 - Magazine - Page 21
Wherever you are, help
is available just around
the corner
Starting a business can feel like a big and lonely journey. But it doesn’t have to be.
E
ntrepreneurs, startups, and scaleups in Denmark always have
access to a range of services
and support from local business
houses and regional, cross-municipal
business hubs.
These public hubs are designed to
create a supportive environment where
businesses of all shapes and sizes can get
help to grow and thrive. And typically,
they have a lot to offer for free, as they
are often funded by public money.

Services for all sizes
Most municipalities in Denmark have a
local business centre for new entrepreneurs. These centres typically offer 1:1
guidance on starting, running, and growing a business and events on basic business topics. They also provide access to
funding opportunities, including grants,
which can be particularly bene昀椀cial for
new entrepreneurs.
Only a fraction of the local business hubs
are listed in this guide and only as examples.
In addition, Denmark has six
regional business hubs. These hubs
offer specialized guidance and act as
gateways to the business promotion
system for small and medium-sized
enterprises.
Their services include specialized 1:1
mentoring, training and workshops on
topics such as marketing and 昀椀nance,
business development assistance, access
to funding opportunities, networking
events, etc.
