A range of intrinsically safe torches which are ATEX certified
for use in flammable atmospheres. The LED versions offer a more
intense light beam and also much longer battery life.

Features: This ATEX Safety Torch is a reliable, simple and cost effective portable
light and is available with a straight or right-angle body style and vacuum or xenon
bulbs and is CE marked to the ATEX directive and IECEx certified for safe use in
Zones 1 and 2 potentially explosive gas, vapour and mist atmosphere, where a
T6 or T4 class permits, and Zones 21 and 22 dust atmospheres, with certified
maximum surface temperatures of 65°C or 95°C. An excellent solution to the
ADR requirement that portable lightly apparatus should be carried at all times.
Meets ADR standards. May be used in flammable environments. Very popular in
the Petrochemical industry. Takes 2 x D-cell batteries (not included). Relevant
Legislation: European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of
Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).
Features: This LED torch gives an exceptional output of up to four times more
light than an incandescent torch bulb, generating a piercing white spot beam
combined with a wide-angle flood of fringe light, for excellent visibility in
conditions of darkness or reduced visibility. With a typical life of over 25,000
hours, the LED is expected to last the product lifetime, minimising product
maintenance and eliminating risk of light source failure. Additionally it gives an
increased battery duration of up to 27 hours from a set of two alkaline ‘D’ cells,
more than twice the duration from a conventional safety torch using the same
cells. The rubber armoured lens ring and end cap give enhanced grip and shock
protection and the shatterproof polycarbonate lens has a scratch and chemical
resistant coating. ATEX certified for explosive gas and dust approval. High output
LED light source. Duration up to 27 hours. 2 x 1.5V D-cell LR20 Batteries. T4
Temperature class. IP67 Dust and watertight. Low battery indicator. Supplied with
a wrist strap. Excellent chemical resistance.
