SOUTHEAST DISTRICT CRIME STATISTICS
PART 1 CRIME
Southeast District personnel serve the Barry Square, Downtown, Sheldon-Charter Oak, Southend, and South Meadows neighborhoods of
Hartford.
Under the direction of South Community Service Bureau Captain
Gabe Laureano, the Southeast District is staffed by a District Commander, Lieutenant Michael Reynolds, one sergeant, six community
service officers, and eight walk beat officer positions. The six Community Service officers are assigned to the Barry Square, Downtown,
Sheldon-Charter Oak, and Southend neighborhoods. Two Southeast
District community service officers serve a citywide role, one assigned
to homeless outreach and the other assigned to illegal dumping. The
walk beat positions are established to cover the Barry Square, Downtown, Franklin Avenue and Wethersfield Avenue areas.

Part 1 Crime - Southeast District:
Southeast District personnel participated in Foodshare
events, assisted at COVID testing sites, homeless outreach, and community clean up efforts.
The Southeast District saw a decrease in Part 1 crime
of 0.4% from 2019, predominantly due to decreases in
rape and larceny incidents. The District saw decreases
in the categories of Rape and Larceny, with increases in
the categories of Murder, Aggravated Assault, Burglary,
and Auto Theft. The number of robberies in the district
remained unchanged from 2019. Contact information
