WELCOME TO THE HANOVER AREA YMCA
OUR MISSION: To put Christian principles into practice through programs
that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
At the Hanover Area YMCA, strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility
are our cause and vision. As a movement, the Y is the largest childcare provider in the nation. We provide a wide range of
fitness classes and sports activities. In many places, the Y is known as a place to go swimming or exercise, but it is much more
than that- it’s a place that changes lives. Our open doors philosophy welcomes all those who wish to enter and we provide
need based financial assistance to community members in the great Hanover area.
COMMITMENT TO ALL
The Y is made up of people from all backgrounds working together to strengthen their communities.
Together we work to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, disability, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity,
ideology, immigrant status, income, race, sex, or sexual orientation has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
We share the Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility - they guide everything we do.
The Y is Committed to providing programs and services that are inclusive and welcoming to all. We value an environment that fosters dignity,
respect, fairness, and appreciation for all aspects and dimensions of diversity.
ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
BECOME AN IMPACT MEMBER
ENDOWMENT FUND
The Annual Campaign provides an
extraordinary opportunity to ensure a brighter
future for our community. Your gift to the
Hanover Area YMCA will have lasting impact
in the community by helping us to reach more
people through life-changing programs and
services like:
Y Impact Members contribute a monthly,
recurring tax-deductible donation of $25. That
$25 a month helps assure the continuation
of vitally important Y work, including chronic
disease prevention, mentoring youth, and
financial assistance for hundreds of lowincome families who need us to keep their kids
positively engaged in supportive and safe Y
programs.
The Heritage Club and Legacy Society
encourages thoughtful gifts from donors as a
primary means of building a strong endowment
capable of providing financial support for the
Hanover Area YMCA in perpetuity. Individuals
who have made a meaningful gift or pledge of
at least $10,000 to the YMCA Endowment Fund
are recognized for their generosity through
membership in the Heritage Club. Individuals
who indicate that they have left a gift to the Y
in their wills are recognized as members of the
Legacy Society.
