One special highlight for the Hankook iON Race came
at the Hankook London E-Prix last July. Ahead of the finale
of the Formula E season, Britain’s Jake Hughes set a new
indoor world speed record of 218.71 km/h with a modified Gen3 car on optimised Hankook tyres in the “ExCeL”
exhibition centre. As a result, both Formula E and Hankook
are now listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
However, it is not just racing drivers who benefit from
the development of the new Hankook race tyre for Formula E, and the high performance of the Hankook iON
Race – so do the end users. With its new iON product
range, the premium tyre maker offers treads – summer
(Hankook iON evo), winter (Hankook iON i*cept) and allyear tyres (Hankook iON FlexClimate) – for resource-conserving mobility with premium electric vehicles. Significantly lower roll resistance for greater range, high traction
levels - including on wet roads, very good braking performance, and high durability notably reflect the requirements placed on tyres by electric cars.
