At The Handmade Christmas Co., we understand the importance
we play as a company when it comes to the future of our planet and
sustainability, we are therefore committed to doing what we can
to ensure our production, shipping and overall operations are as
environmentally friendly as possible.
Where possible, we aim to be plastic free and work closely with our
suppliers to explore options that will help reduce the use of single
use plastics in our hampers. We also work to prioritise the use of
UK suppliers for our hamper contents, not only to support local
businesses, but to help us reduce transportation emissions across
borders. In addition, any packaging that comes to us from suppliers
is always re-used for daily operational purposes or recycled to
ensure reduction in wastage.
Not only are our mailing boxes strong, durable and tested to ensure
they withstand the courier networks, they're also FSC® certified,
100% recyclable and made from a renewable resource. These boxes
are a great option as they can be recycled in the regular kerbside
cardboard recycling system.
Finally, our gifts are designed to be reused, whether it be a
handmade wicker basket that can be reused as a perfect picnic
basket or home decor, or using our cotton tote bags for the weekly
shop, all of these reusable elements help reduce the landfill coming
from our gifts.
