Grand Bahama Island is gearing up for an unforgettable
year in 2025, with a calendar full of diverse and exciting
events that will appeal to residents and visitors alike.
From cultural festivals to sports competitions, and from
food celebrations to arts showcases, the island is poised
to offer something for everyone. Whether you're a history
buff, a foodie, an art lover, or an adventure seeker,
Grand Bahama promises to deliver an enriching
experience throughout the year.
The year will kick off with the People’s Rush Junkanoo
Parade on January 1st, a fresh addition to the Grand
Bahama event lineup. This parade will bring the
energetic spirit of Junkanoo to the streets of West End,
offering a lively prelude to the annual Grand Bahama
Junkanoo Parade, now called the "Pine Yard Rush Senior
Parade." Set to take place on January 9th on Explorer’s
Way, the event promises a spectacular display of colorful
costumes, pulsating rhythms, and spirited performances
that are sure to delight both locals and visitors.
In April, Grand Bahama will host one of its most
anticipated cultural events: ArtLucaya, which will take
place from April 4th to 6th, 2025. This unique festival
celebrates the wealth of creative talent on the island,
bringing together over 50 local artists and more than 30
student artists from Grand Bahama’s high schools.
ArtLucaya has quickly become one of the premier events
on the island, and for 2025, it promises to be even
bigger and better. The theme of the festival,
