It’s an ideal time to visit beautiful Grand Bahama.
On this, our country’s 50th year of independence, the
Grand Bahama Port Authority welcomes investors and
visitors alike to come explore the limitless opportunities
our beautiful island offers for business and pleasure.
Investors will see a plethora of opportunities as our island
prepares for a significant boost in tourism with the
development of a number of tourism related projects. The
upcoming redevelopment of the Freeport Harbour Cruise
Port, the current construction of the new Carnival
Cruiseport, the development of the Xquisite Yachts
Resort and Marina, and the high end Weller group mix
use real estate development project, will further grow the
number of visitors to Grand Bahama. In addition to the
developments previously mentioned, the impending
phase two expansion of the Western Atlantic University
School of Medicine will positively affect the population
growth, with the increase in the student, faculty and staff
headcount. It’s an opportune time to explore the
possibilities.
Tourists to Grand Bahama can pick from a wide selection
of exploratory and entertaining tours, as well as festivals
and events in celebration of our golden anniversary
throughout 2023. We offer many dining options, from
white tablecloth service to traditional beach huts, and
welcome all to a month-long celebration of the island’s
restaurants during Grand Bahama Restaurant Fest from
August 1 to 31. And, of course, visitors to our shores will be
captivated by our natural beauty, miles of peaceful white
sand beaches and turquoise waters.
Come for the warm, welcoming hospitality and stay for
the unique opportunities available only on Grand
Bahama Island. We’re ready for you.
