Grand Life Magazine Summer 23 - Flipbook - Page 12
Tenisha Carey, who moved to Grand Bahama
several years ago, notes that she quickly fell in
love with the island and felt right at home. The
pieces featured in the shoot also drew
inspiration from her time living on Grand
Bahama.
Tenisha’s philosophy is that everyone is meant to
stand out, and her intricate statement pieces
utilize authentic elements from nature to create
ornate works of art that celebrate Bahamian
culture.

The remainder of the shoot was captured,
styled, and organized by other Grand Bahama
men and women, including photographer Alfred
Anderson. Alfred, who was born and raised on
Grand Bahama and is also a talented actor and
stage play director, noted that he wanted to
capture the true essence of Grand Bahama from
his perspective.
