We certainly had a strong start to 2022 by hosting our employees from across the country, along with another 100+
representatives from vendor partners at our Gaylor Electric National Summit. Bringing Gaylor Nation together was a
monumental event! This issue of our CONDUIT will feature highlights and snippets from the event.
A BIG thank you goes out to all our current clients for their support in backing our employees coming in. We realize
it is a “big ask” on our part to have our projects pause the work we are doing to take 2-3 days for travel, training,
inspiration, and vision setting. Our professionals are returning to the job sites with a refreshed vigor and enthusiasm
to be the highest performing national contractor of excellence.
An important aspect of the National Summit is the interaction with our suppliers. Sponsorship from our partner
companies greatly helps to make the Summit possible. But it extends far beyond that…it is a time to emphasize to
our employees and to our partners, that we value our relationship. Having hands-on classes hosted by vendors has
proven to be invaluable to our folks. We are intentional in developing like-minded win-win relationships.
We are consistent in our approach to improve in all categories of our company. Being a life-long learner has been
part of the core of Gaylor Electric since our inception in 1984. The National Summit is a showcase of our
commitment to and the importance of continual learning. I am so proud of how our professionals, both craft and
office, have embraced this philosophy. Most of our educational offerings are instructed by Gaylor Electric
employees who have developed a strength in that subject, then invested the time in learning to present the
information to others. Having this “Gaylor-ized” perspective ensures we are all pulling together in the same
direction as a company.
One month, almost to the day, after we completed our first National Summit in 2020, we entered the uncharted
waters of a worldwide pandemic. Even the uncertainty that ensued, especially in the early going, could not stop us
from adhering to our 2020 Strategic Plan. As I look back, it WAS BECAUSE we had just had everyone together in one
place, at one time, hearing the plan at the same time, that our plan got off to the right start. We had all received
“the what” and “the how” of our plan and nothing, not even a pandemic was going to knock us off course. That plan
led to the two best years in Gaylor Electric history!
It is my hope that adhering to our new 2022 Strategic Plan will lead the way to even greater heights as a company,
strengthen our relationships with vendors, and ensure reliable results for our growing client list. We have the
professional strength in our organization to continue our rise upward because Gaylor Nation is ready, able, and
willing to bring their personal best each day to make Gaylor Electric the highest performing national contractor of
excellence! Thank you for your part in the Gaylor Electric story…you are part of the Gaylor Nation!
