The electrical portion of this four-story, 2.65 million-square-foot
Amazon distribution warehouse included robotics storage
platforms, processing conveyor levels, and multiple office
spaces. The work included utility duct banks, emergency power
infrastructure, over 9,000 light fixtures, 600 workstations, 70
charging stations for the robotics equipment, and fire alarm &
radio amplification life-safety systems. Due to the project being
the first of its kind, the two-million square-foot prototype facility
presented many challenges regarding design. With changes to
the infrastructure and design being made on the fly, it was our
responsibility to accommodate changes and provide insight
where needed. Our team met the challenge and jumped in with
our own design of the most critical room of the facility. This
resulted in Amazon requesting to keep our electricians' onsite
post substantial competition.
