From the Chairman
Let’s
make a
DIFFERENCE,
together.
It isn’t easy to express in words my enthusiasm for
becoming your Chairman of the Board for 2024.
This enthusiasm matches my desire to be the most effective
leader possible for each ABC member and help make a
difference in your businesses, communities, and the lives of
your employees and their families.
My father owned an electrical business, so I learned from a
young age that the key to success is putting in the work, day
in and day out, and remaining true to your word. I am
thankful for these invaluable life lessons, and I’m especially
grateful that my father brought me to my first ABC meeting
when I was a teenager.
At the earliest points of my professional life, l was influenced
by the pride and passion of the individuals working in the
construction industry and, most importantly, the people who
championed the merit shop philosophy. The values of free
enterprise, open competition, and high-quality workmanship
were quickly instilled into who I am. My continued
participation in ABC activities inspires a more significant
investment of my time, knowledge, and resources, shaping my
leadership vision for our industry.
My educational journey includes degrees from Purdue
University, Vincennes University, Ivy Tech, Master Electrician
licensure, founding my own business, and growing to the
point that justified a merger with Gaylor Electric— a decision
for which I am eternally grateful. However, my most impactful
achievement was graduating from the ABC Apprenticeship
Program.
