has a deep love for the logistics industry and
the people in it.
“We, Annie and I, want to give something
back to the industry we love. That is why we
chose to establish the foundation, which we
hope can contribute to help young people many
years into the future.”
THE NEXT GENERATION GOES ON TOUR
For the employees, it has slowly become visible
that the next generation is taking over. Every
year, senior management tours the various
locations and holds employee meetings.
Mira Stæhr Andersen travels around as the
family representative.
“We leave for a week, where we oen drive
through the night and hold meetings around
the Nordic region locations during the day.“
says Thomas Corneliussen.
Mira also aends meetings with the company’s board of directors.
“Furthermore, Mira takes part in some
strategic work. She contributes a great deal, and
creates great value in the process.”
Her sister Luna has so far chosen to concentrate on her civil service work at the Danish
Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. Like
her sister Mira, she is a board member of the
holding company Holtshøjen Holding.
LOOKING FORWARD TO 100 YEARS
OF FRODE LAURSEN
With the organisational and economic generational change in place, Frode Laursen is
ready to look ahead to the big anniversary in
2048.
Because neither the owners, management
nor employees are in doubt that, Frode Laursen
can also celebrate 100 years as an independent
company.
“In addition to our great desire to keep
Frode Laursen in the family, I also believe
that Frode Laursen’s values and our talented
employees are what make us strong – and
will continue to do so in 25 years’ time,” says
Thorkil and explains:
“We must continue to be a workplace with
both great social interaction and great social
responsibility. An individual is never enough on
their own, and this also applies to a business;
no maers or people should ever ‘overshadow’
Frode Laursen or the customers.
Continuing to be successful requires a
constant focus on development and improvement. At the same time, some things never go
out of style: We must continue to create value
for the customers, and preferably more than
they expect. At the same time, we must still
be able to offer low prices and high quality,
and finally, we must treat all employee groups
with respect. Everyone must understand why
they are essential in order to succeed with the
customer.”
Frode Laursen’s solid finances also mean the
company has a robust foundation, even as the
world shakes. As Thomas Corneliussen says:
“Over the last couple of years, Covid-19 and
the war in Ukraine have made the world even
more unpredictable. Here at Frode Laursen, we
have shown that we can react quickly to the
changes and still deliver the quality we want
to our customers. I think this will be essential
in the future. The world will only move faster.
We must be able to keep up while retaining the
common sense and good business acumen that
has goen us to where we are today. If we can
do that, I’m sure we’ll also be here to celebrate
our 100th anniversary.”
